A music video produced for the Southampton based musician the Uplifter and his new single "Stroud". Filmed amongst the beautiful scenery of Gloucestershire it showcases some of the best bits of a special little town called stroud.
STROUD - THE SONG
"Jake and I had a lot fun making this video. It was new territory for both of us. I've never sung (and jumped around!) in front if a camera lens before. The Vinyl + Music Video launch at The Brunel Goods Shed in Stroud was incomprehensibly successful. The place is huge and it was packed.
I will never forget, standing behind the merch table with my brother, watching our music video being projected onto a giant cinema screen. It was a fierce feeling, I'm not sure I've ever felt before. "

The live percussion became an integral part of the live shows adding a refreshing and freely expressive element to performances... Starting off with percussion picked up whilst on travels - Full drum kit, African djembe, then to Turkish Darbuka, bongos - after many years of experimenting with various set ups a custom set up of 1950's Cuban timbales, snare drum, cowbells, wood block and cymbals has become a permanent fixture to the live shows...
